Thank you for your interest in applying to De La Salle North Catholic High School!

Because our mission is to provide a private school option to students who otherwise could not afford a private school education, the family of the student must be considered as having limited financial resources. Family income plays a factor in determining eligibility. Families with questions relating to this subject should contact the Admissions office prior to applying. Other important criteria to be considered for admission to DLSNC are:

  • 14 years of age and eligible to work in the United States by September 1 of their 9th grade year. Please call the Admissions office with any questions regarding this age requirement to participate in DLSNC's mandatory Corporate Work Study program.
  • Incoming 8th graders must have a minimum GPA of 2.0; transfer students much have a minimum GPA of 2.5 with no incomplete or failed courses.

Below is our Admissions process for incoming 9th graders and transfer students for the 10th and 11th grades. How to Apply:

PARENTS are responsible for completing the following:
  • Use this link to create an account via our Finalsite Portal:
  • Complete our online Admission Application via Finalsite.
  • Complete the free FACTS financial assessment via this link:
  • Upload a request for records form to Finalsite so DLSNC can request records from your student's current middle school.
  • Schedule a Family Interview by contacting the Admissions office. Interviews will not be scheduled until all application materials have been submitted by both parent and student. Family Interviews typically happen in early February.
YOUR CURRENT SCHOOL is responsible for submitting the following to De La Salle North Catholic High School:
  • Recommendation letter from your 8th grade Math teacher*
  • Recommendation letter from your 8th grade English teacher*
  • Recommendation letter from your 8th grade Principal or Counselor*
    • Parent will need to send a link via SchoolAdmin for teachers to complete this step.
  • 7th and 8th grade report cards that include attendance and disciplinary records submitted by your current middle school.
    • Parent will need to have a records-release form signed so the middle school can release the information to DLSNC.
STUDENTS are responsible for completing the following:
  • Take our Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) entrance exam at DLSNC. Secure your spot by emailing us at or calling 503-285-9385 x140.
  • Complete a Student Essay. Eighth-grade applicants will have the opportunity to write these essays during Spend-A-Day visits. Transfer applicants, please contact the Admissions office to schedule a time to complete the Student Essay.
  • Attend the Family Interview with at least one parent or legal guardian.

General Admissions Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA is a 2.0 GPA, no D’s or F’s.
  • All incoming freshmen are required to attend the Summer Employment Foundations Academy (SEFA). SEFA, normally held in late June, is a one-week, partial-day training that prepares freshmen to participate in DLSNC's signature Corporate Work Study program in the fall.
  • Selected students will be admitted conditionally and required to attend summer school at DLSNC.
  • All contracts and deposits must be in by the stated deadline on the acceptance letter.
