New Year, New Leadership

Principal Reid leads the new Academic Administrative Team for DLSNC's 20th year

I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude and excitement for my new role within Knight Nation! I have successfully and safely made the cross-country trek from Illinois to Portland and have spent the past few weeks getting settled and learning my way around town. I’m busy learning about our current systems and structures, getting to know staff, asking questions, and gaining knowledge about what sets us apart from other Catholic schools in the area. While I still have a lot to learn, I can say without hesitation that the staff I have met and talked with are some of the most dedicated, loyal, loving souls I have ever encountered. It takes a special person to commit to a life of serving others, and I cannot wait to continue my life of service with the DLSNC family.

In a time of rebirth and renewal, we will engage our students, families, and greater community members in meaningful and open conversations about where we've been during the scariest 18 months in recent history, where we are now, and where we hope to be throughout our first year back with in-person learning and beyond. I am happy to be able to lead this charge with the new Vice Principal of Curriculum & Instruction, Cary Tyler, as well as James Broadous II, Vice Principal for Student Life. Cary joins Knight Nation with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of education (even as a DLSNC teacher ten years ago!), and I know all of us together will make a great team.
