We determine eligibility for admissions in three ways:
- Family income
- Academic ability
- Employability for Corporate Work Study
Financial Criteria for Admissions
- Financial need is decided according to the Cristo Rey Network standard: "Cristo Rey schools serve only students with limited economic resources and is open to students of various faiths and cultures."

Academic Criteria for Admissions
- Desire and willingness to attend a four-year college or university.
- Passing grades at current school.
- All applicants for 9th and 10th grade must take the MAP test in the areas of Math, Language Arts, and Reading. MAP tests are administered on computer only on the DLSNC campus. For more information on the MAP test, click here.
- Good disciplinary and school attendance record.
Corporate Work Study Employability Criteria
- Students must be at least 14 years old by September 1 of their 9th-grade year.
- Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States and provide verification of their U.S. citizenship or other documentation.
- Students must commit to working five full days a month. It is mandatory for students to participate in the Corporate Work Study program (CWS).
